Šlachtova Hydra is very dangerous, threatening both freedom and justice.
The series of reports on "Sick Justice" has another installment. The author and AKTU.cz reporter Jiří Forman has named it Hydra. In the video, new recordings show the notorious criminal Zdeněk Tesařík claiming that police lobbied on his behalf. He confirms that some prosecutors worked in his favor. Witnesses also outline the modus operandi of how customs officers and police exploited Zdeněk Tesařík.
The report also examines the connections and networks of Robert Šlachta and his collaborators, who over the past 15 years have determined the fate of dozens of people in court.
The clear diagram of ties shows who introduced Šlachta to whom and also reveals why GIBS is so lax in investigating potential criminal activities.
Šlachta's collaborators now hold positions in nearly every investigative agency and in the public prosecutor's office that oversees the case.
