A video captured a truck accident near Frýdek-Místek. Cleanup continued into the afternoon.

As a result of the collision, the truck buckled into an L shape. The longer part of the trailer tore through the noise barrier opposite. Fragments of the destroyed wall fell onto the highway and damaged three passing passenger cars. After the accident, traffic quickly backed up at the scene, significantly slowing traffic in this busy area.
The circumstances of the accident and the exact cause remain subject to police investigation. Available footage indicates that severe weather conditions combined with a driver losing control on the snowy road contributed significantly to this dramatic situation.

Police are urging drivers to slow down substantially in winter weather and to adjust their driving to current conditions to prevent further similar accidents.
