Police chase with a biker at Prague airport

During his escape from the law, the motorcyclist illegally entered the airport grounds through an unauthorized entry gate, reaching the area under reconstruction. During the chase, he even rode along the closed runway 24/06. Due to his actions, air traffic had to be halted for approximately ten minutes for security reasons. Services were subsequently resumed, and the incident did not significantly affect passengers.

Several police patrols, airport security, a police dog unit, and a helicopter equipped with thermal imaging were immediately deployed to chase the motorcyclist. However, he changed directions several times and eventually broke through a fence, escaping the premises and continuing to ride around the airport and in neighboring villages.

After several tens of minutes of intensive search, the police managed to locate the motorcyclist at his residence. The man was subsequently detained and, according to reports, was under an active driving ban. He is also suspected of several crimes. A preliminary drug test came back positive. The motorcycle was later found parked near the airport in an industrial area.
